New Year's eVe

I’ve always thought that you can see the hand of God best in the rearview mirror. Looking back, it’s easier to understand why He placed us in the home that He did; why He brought certain people and circumstances into and out of our lives; why He permitted difficulties and pain; why He took us to different places and put us in various jobs and careers.

On the First Day of Christmas...

Yup, another year coming to an end soon.

Christmas always signals that we are heading towards year end. Somehow, I find that many people are glad to close up the year. Probably they want to leave their dissapointments behind and start afresh. Or could it be that the new year offers a new start for something they were unable to achieve.

Regardless, I think its just another number, another date on the calendar BUT with huge physcology impact. Somehow, we just love the idea of resetting our system, a cold restart if you will. A chance to clear our backlog of unfulfill dreams and hopes, and getting a glimmer of hope for a new dawn.

For me, it should be making some praticals that I can achieve - challenging enough but realistic. I feel that the hardest part is consistency. Being able to do some NEW routine regularly needs lots of training and effort, before it becomes a routine.

2 Farewells and One Memorial

We had to say goodbye to Yong June & Jee Won with Isaac and Joseph.
Finally the family are reunited and going back to Seoul. Managed to grab a bite at Little Penang Cafe at Curve and it was a good lunch together.

In the evening, we hungout at The Terrance @ Curve with Lanny with Raymond and Patrick. I had a Virgin Mary and some cheese cake while Lanny had a buffett BBQ. But the talk was great from CityPark to SS2 household... with some interesting stories.

Thankfully, I don't have to work tommorrow.

Tron: Legacy in 3D

Indeed its fun to have a sumptuous meal @ TGIF courtesy of staff hangout. My rib steak was certainly huge for one person to finish. The ultimate magarita was intoxicating.

Managed to catch Tron in 3D. The movie effects was good but the storyline was a bit crappy... but who cares, as long as its watchable in 3D.

Seems like year end, go lots of food, parties and holidays too. Not forgetting higher expenses for all the gifts. Had to settle my samans - 5 of them for parking offences, luckily RM30 per paper.

Busy Period

What a busy period... non stop training!

Starting to think that this job is not as comfortable as I think.

Anyway, lots of things to do... Presents, Farewells, Paperwork, Maid, Bills, Claims...

Seems like no holiday for me!

At least we managed to catch a walt disney movie - "Rapunzel" from Wei's coca-cola connection FOC with the whole group!

This was after the show - at the side walk.
Its fun to be at Pavillion for the 1st time.

Hangout with Lanny

This is our 2nd hangout during his 3 weeks stay. Of course when you hangout with Lanny - its always about food. We had a nice 'Tai Chow' last week then followed up with 'pork knuckles' at Bavarian Beirhaus.

So I managed to pick him from Mid-Valley after Fri work and the traffic was horrendous. We made our way back to PJ to hunt for duck, but the shop was closed - so we had to turn to Thai cuisine.

Proceed to pick Kit and head home for a quick shower before we made a pit stop at Pat's place. Managed to join the small group for around of PICTIONARY and Lanny help himself to some ice-cream.Teow Chew Stewed Duck

We then made our way to SS2 and guess what... there it was, DELICIOUS PORRIDGE DUCK still open at 11.30pm - what a blessing. We reminiscent of our good old days as duck meat slide down our throat. Discussion from brother's house to migrating to Cananda.

I had my fill...

Then lost my way in Sg. Buloh - probably too sleepy.

Bible Memory

Our journey began at Genesis through Exodus. On the way, we saw Leviticus recording the Numbers of people at Deuteronomy, while Joshua was waiting at the beautiful gate for Judges to see Ruth calling loudly "Samuel, Samuel". At a stage, the first and second Kings of Chronicles were coming to visit Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther for the misfortune of Job, their brother. Then they noticed that Mr. Psalms was teaching his children Proverbs concerning Ecclesiastes and Songs of Solomon. This coincided with the period that Isaiah and Jeremiah were engaged in Lamentation for Ezekiel and Daniel their friend. By that time, Amos and Obadiah were not around. Three days later, Hosea, Joel and Jonah travelled in the same ship with Micah and Nahum to Jerusalem . More also, Habakkuk visited Zephaniah who introduced him to Haggai a friend of Zechariah whose cousin is Malachi. Immediately after the old tradition, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John got involved in Acts with the Romans who were behaving like the Corinthians, who were also always at loggerhead with the Galatians. At that time too, the Ephesians realising that the Philippians were close to the Colossians, suggested to the Thessalonians that they should first of all see Timothy who had gone to the house of Titus to teach Philemon his younger brother how to read and write Hebrew. On hearing, James asked Peter to explain to him how the three Johns have disclosed to Jude the Revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mum's Bday - 30th OCT 1947

Managed to drop by with flowers and some wishes on Sunday morning. Kit brough some lovely matching flowers for the occassion.

I didn't see 'dead people' but saw relavites of those who had missed their loved ones. Surely every visit brings back good memories of my younger days. Anyway, the place was busy - for a cemetary with all the visitors. Not to mentioned it was rather sunny so we could not stay too long.

"Mum - happy birthday... we missed you, and I'm sure you do too."

Your grandchildren would be very happy to meet you one day in heaven!

All I want for Xmas is ...

Yes... my two front teeth.

What a nightmare to visit the dentist! Have to pull my wisdom tooth and then fix the front one with a crowning. But alas.... all is over, now have to test out by chewing on something hard 2 hours later.

What happened the past one week:
- attend GEP at WYAM
- watch Predators (not bad despite the gore)
- stayed at Legends Water Chalet

Post Father's Day

David and the dad with a convincing welcome.

Kit's mum singing on the stage!! (huney, when is your turn??)

Amber somewhere in the picture (without Zac who's not allowed in).
Icing on the cake - a simple brooch... and This Is It!

Its been a year since MJ passed away... and the same time Francis had an accident. Still remember quite vividly hearing through the early morning radio all the songs of MJ, without a clue what had happened. As the DJ mentioned about it... i still could not grasp, maybe too blur behind the wheel.

Well... MJ, you rest in peace!

Bolathon 2010

Hah! Managed to get 500 bucks from my company.
Well - short of the 200k target by HOPE Worldwide.

Today futsal was less satisfying. Lost 2 Won 1.
But the kids had a blast.

The winner for best costume, deservingly went to Ronadinho @ Aaron Wee.
Most of them very creative... but better luck next 4 years.

Also, its 2 weeks of school holidays. What should the kids do??
What should i do?? Hmmm..... good time to finish up some certification.

Tuesdays with Morrie

How nice if we can lie down everyday by the seaside and enjoy a good book.
This is certainly one good book on how to live your life, by Mitch Albom.

An old man, a young man and life greatest lessons.

Few of the quotes that I liked:

"You only know how to live when you learn how to die"
"Learn to detach from your experiences...."

That's why we should enjoy our meals, savour the moment on our taste buds and where we are at the moment. Needless to say, I'll be visiting this stall again.... very soon.

By the beach

NasaR Homestay ...

Anees Chalet...

Simple and relaxing place to be.

Tax, Election and Reflection

Yes. Its that time of they year again... pay pay pay. Luckily, this time didn't hv to pay that much since i've got STD... and no its not Sexual Transmitted Disease.

Then also we have the Hulu Selangor, By Election. Looking at this makes me laugh...chuckle!
What does it say about a man ... licking up to another? Should have a best caption contest on this... no 1st price though.

Come to think of it, most Malaysians would wish their election representative a quick demise. Its only then you get the attention - goodies being thrown at you with promises of jobs, development and schoold being built.

Now... being away in KT, one week seems like a long time. But its kinda good to be away from the business of development and daily rush. Here, after 5pm i can just walk back about 15min to my chalet and enjoy the seaside.

Of course it will be perfect if the family is here together, since the beaches are pristine and the waters are clear. The seaside view looks laid back, probably a good 20 years behind. Folks here take life easy and there's no hurry for anything.

Arigato

Found a old picture of Amber and my lovely car.

These are 2 'new friends' from Japan that visited us during our time in KK.
Is Amber is smiling or constipated?

UMT

Drove to T3 at Subang to catch FireFly flight to east cost.

Its amazing how T3 have changed since the old days. Not as busy as the past but certaintly the facade and outlooks seems polished. The prices too have shot up. One BigApple doughnut cost 2.60! Well, its better for me to head straight into the departing hall then.
Gone are the jets enjine... the planes are thrusted by 2 powerful propellers.I think FireFly is being tied up with SP Setia as plane is strewn all over with the developer's logo, notwithstanding the inflight magazine. Good thing compared with AA is they serve complimentary refreshments.
Touching down - the airport looks clean. Took a cab that cost RM15 to UMT. Now the real work begins. Anyway... stayed at 2nites@Anees Chalet and 3nites@Nasar Homestay.
This is inside one of the labs of UMT.

Not bad.. they all are running HP Core2 Quad CPU @2.33GHz with 4GB RAM!
