Miracle - MH370

RIP....

How could I throw away a miracle
How could I face another day
It's all of my doing, I made a choice
And today I pay, my heart is full of pain
How could you understand the way I feel
How could you relate to so much pain
Seems as though nothing can comfort me
So today, I pray that someone should listen
For nothing should matter
Not when love grows inside you
The choice is yours
There's a miracle in store
Nothing should matter
Not when love grows inside you
A voice of love is crying out, don't throw love away
There's a miracle in store
How could I let go of a miracle
Nothing could ever take its place
Thought I was looking out for myself
Now it seems the pain is all that I have gained
I wonder if I could be your miracle
I wonder if I could spare you pain
Seems as though nothing will comfort me
Lord, less today I pray that you should come listen
For nothing should matter
Not when love grows inside you
The choice is yours
There's a miracle in store
Nothing should matter
Not when love grows inside you
A voice of love is crying out, don't throw the love away
There's a miracle in store
Don't ever throw away your miracle
Don't let it slip away
For nothing should matter
No, nothing should matter
Not when love grows inside you
The choice is yours
There's a miracle in store
No, nothing should matter
Not when love grows inside you
A voice of love is crying out, don't throw the love away
There's a miracle in store for you

Another Diva Gone

So sad to hear the news about Whitney Houston.

She's only 48 and have achieved almost everything.  The whole world is in front of her but tragically, her life was cut short. Even Dolly Parton is still around to say her wishes for her.

So many stars gone too soon.  Makes you wonder the fame and success are blinding to the fact that life is so fragile and full of emptyness without God.

School Holidays - GoldCoast

Crabs Galore !!!

Hoorahhh...
That's if i'm still in school. As a parent, biggest nightmare.
What should the kids do at home, besides watching lots of tv.
Time to hit the beach ... Bagan Lalang or Sepang GC.

Its low tide - so beach is nice except for stupid sand flies...
Nice short trip away for the day.

Anyway, got 70-680 exam covered, now just my left my 640-553...

All I want for Xmas is ...

Yes... my two front teeth.

What a nightmare to visit the dentist! Have to pull my wisdom tooth and then fix the front one with a crowning. But alas.... all is over, now have to test out by chewing on something hard 2 hours later.

What happened the past one week:
- attend GEP at WYAM
- watch Predators (not bad despite the gore)
- stayed at Legends Water Chalet

Tuesdays with Morrie

How nice if we can lie down everyday by the seaside and enjoy a good book.
This is certainly one good book on how to live your life, by Mitch Albom.

An old man, a young man and life greatest lessons.

Few of the quotes that I liked:

"You only know how to live when you learn how to die"
"Learn to detach from your experiences...."

That's why we should enjoy our meals, savour the moment on our taste buds and where we are at the moment. Needless to say, I'll be visiting this stall again.... very soon.

Tax, Election and Reflection

Yes. Its that time of they year again... pay pay pay. Luckily, this time didn't hv to pay that much since i've got STD... and no its not Sexual Transmitted Disease.

Then also we have the Hulu Selangor, By Election. Looking at this makes me laugh...chuckle!
What does it say about a man ... licking up to another? Should have a best caption contest on this... no 1st price though.

Come to think of it, most Malaysians would wish their election representative a quick demise. Its only then you get the attention - goodies being thrown at you with promises of jobs, development and schoold being built.

Now... being away in KT, one week seems like a long time. But its kinda good to be away from the business of development and daily rush. Here, after 5pm i can just walk back about 15min to my chalet and enjoy the seaside.

Of course it will be perfect if the family is here together, since the beaches are pristine and the waters are clear. The seaside view looks laid back, probably a good 20 years behind. Folks here take life easy and there's no hurry for anything.

UMT

Drove to T3 at Subang to catch FireFly flight to east cost.

Its amazing how T3 have changed since the old days. Not as busy as the past but certaintly the facade and outlooks seems polished. The prices too have shot up. One BigApple doughnut cost 2.60! Well, its better for me to head straight into the departing hall then.
Gone are the jets enjine... the planes are thrusted by 2 powerful propellers.I think FireFly is being tied up with SP Setia as plane is strewn all over with the developer's logo, notwithstanding the inflight magazine. Good thing compared with AA is they serve complimentary refreshments.
Touching down - the airport looks clean. Took a cab that cost RM15 to UMT. Now the real work begins. Anyway... stayed at 2nites@Anees Chalet and 3nites@Nasar Homestay.
This is inside one of the labs of UMT.

Not bad.. they all are running HP Core2 Quad CPU @2.33GHz with 4GB RAM!

ABBA, ALLAH, ELOHIM, ADONAI, DADDY

A man came home from work and his children ran to him and called out ‘Ayah! Ayah!’.
His neighbor got very upset and said to him, “Can you please tell your children not to call you ‘Ayah’?”
The man asked, “Why?”
The neighbor retorted, “Because my children call me ’Ayah’ too. They might get confused and mistake you to be their father.”

Then the man told his neighbor, are you not ashamed to say that your children do not know who is their 'Ayah'.
So you are saying by using the word 'Ayah' ,your children will call me ayah too without knowing who is their father?

The neighbour said yes, only my children should use the word 'Ayah'.

The man replied, "Then there is something wrong in what you are teaching your children. They are not sure and even do not know who their 'Ayah' is !!"

Going to the Lion City

What a unexpected trip in the middle of December.

Just by chance, i managed to get a day off from work and travel down with Kit.
Fly in by day and leave by night - sounds like a Bomb Squadron under some covert operation.

Anyway looking forward to this trip - and some X'mas shopping.

Good thing Kit has done up the Christmas tree - except for the lights.

Last Paper ... for now

Oh... just one last hurdle to go.

Pretty excited to finish of my last paper ONT. Need to be disciplined and not put my feet off the pedal. I guess when you pursue something over a period of time, it can be taxing.

It's not just the laborious effort you have to put in, but the feeling of being distracted by other things in life. Everything seems to need your attention. Movies seems to be screaming "play me", various mini-series like 24, House, CSI and what-not being offered on cable.

Also, i have to get back my jogging routine (been off 2 weeks since its been so hazy) before my tummy bulges out too much. Then there's racquet skills to enhance after a long lay off.

Not too mention, toilet leaks, wardrobe make-over and endless drillings to do.

Besides that, have to reorganize my follow-ups, my laptop needs more space, photos sorted and videos burned, my bank statements needs to be filed up or torched?, etc...

So there you go... another rant of life, and what we are supposed to do.

Anyway, back to the books.

Another Day in Office

Oh well... time flies. I am sure if I don't write, i would not reflect.
Perhaps that's why people write - to slow down, to reflect, to gaze upon their endeavor before their next conquest. I write not because i want to, but more towards helping myself to remember the little details in life.

So much to do, so much to accomplish... time to slow down.

Read in the papers that another 3 year old kid rundown by his cousin who was reversing his car.
Then, my neighbour house got burglarized for the umpteenth time.
Ex-President of S.Korea commits suicide.
Endless politicking in Malaysia.
Maid horror stories... seems like a lot of bad news everyday that we become acclimatized.

So its probably good to go back to the Bible ;-) for a reality check.

2 Down 2 More

Yipee ... managed to get 889/1000. My previous score was 888/1000.
Hopefully can finish all my papers before the end of June.

How good if life its just eat and play - no bills to worry, no problems to be concerned about.
No exams and no studies - pure fun!

Sometimes the innocence of kids really makes me think back my days as a kid.
Although i cried often ;-) but it was memorable.

The Blessing

Truth to be told, the blessings from above are always there for us - its just that we always expecting a different kind of blessing.

I really enjoyed myself - not that the other conferences aren't great. This time, there's no agenda - its only time move forward like Jacob.

A case in point, the futsal match was a great workout. Althought the scoreline wasn't great, i felt indeed it was a blessing to
1] play with Vietnamese disciples
2] able to still kick the ball
3] enjoy dinner and supper in between

Nevertheless, i got bruised (still aching all over) before i got blessed!
Now where is that rock that i need to put my head under.

Team X vs Team Y

Oh yeah... another round of competition.

On Sunday, its was Ferrari vs McLaren but Brawn stole the show again at Sepang.
Then Tuesday, it was BS, BG & BA by-election fever, but remain status quo. 2 against 1, in favour of PR. BN is going to Be The End in the next GE.

Now Thursday, it is Liverpool vs Chelse (again!!) for a spot in the semi-final of UCL.

Sometimes life is not about winning or losing, but making sense of all these victories and defeats.
But as someone said, 'History is written not by the vanquished but the victors'.

Can the Reds do it... all the way??

The Tree of Life

Singles that came over for sumptuous dinner: Jack, Janet and May Yee

Today in history - when my spiritual journey started.
That was way back 15 years ago. I feel old, but thankfully not withering.

All i can say that its been a long long trip.
As the author of 'The Road less Traveled', Dr. M.Scott Peck mentioned that life is about being fulfilled. Part of it is about discipline, delay gratification and responsibility.

The other book he wrote... People of the Lie, is fascinating to digest a second serving.
Makes me think how difficult is it for us to see evil when its standing right in front of us! Is it us that he's referring to ?? You would have to read it yourself ;-)
