Going to the Lion City
What a unexpected trip in the middle of December.
Just by chance, i managed to get a day off from work and travel down with Kit.
Fly in by day and leave by night - sounds like a Bomb Squadron under some covert operation.
Anyway looking forward to this trip - and some X'mas shopping.
Good thing Kit has done up the Christmas tree - except for the lights.

Dragon Oakland

From the sounds of it, you cannot decipher what it means.
Well, its just another Chinese Restaurant located in Seremban.
This time, its 'Ah Sean' wedding. And mine, she does look so different from her old photos.
I guess we all have the childhood impression of our cousins and aunties carved in the deep recess of our minds. Its pretty hard to shake it off ... even our thoughts about family and friends are pretty much the same.
It was good outing - traveling in one car. Took loads of pictures, and had a few drinks.

Finally Found Someone.... 10 years ago

Dear Steve and Jenny,
Congratulations...again after 10 years. Hope to see many more years to come for a blessed marriage and more kids too. Today its that special date to remember 9.10.99 for what 2 love birds finally found each other...
I FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE (Barbra Streisand & Bryan Adams)
I finally found someone, that knocks me off my feet
I finally found the one, that makes me feel complete
We started over coffee, we started out as friends
It's funny how from simple things, the best things begin
This time it's different, dah dah dah dah
It's all because of you, dah dah dah dah
It's better than it's ever been
'Cause we can talk it through
Oohh, my favorite line was "Can I call you sometime?"
It's all you had to say to take my breath away

Last Paper ... for now

Oh... just one last hurdle to go.
Pretty excited to finish of my last paper ONT. Need to be disciplined and not put my feet off the pedal. I guess when you pursue something over a period of time, it can be taxing.
It's not just the laborious effort you have to put in, but the feeling of being distracted by other things in life. Everything seems to need your attention. Movies seems to be screaming "play me", various mini-series like 24, House, CSI and what-not being offered on cable.
Also, i have to get back my jogging routine (been off 2 weeks since its been so hazy) before my tummy bulges out too much. Then there's racquet skills to enhance after a long lay off.
Not too mention, toilet leaks, wardrobe make-over and endless drillings to do.
Besides that, have to reorganize my follow-ups, my laptop needs more space, photos sorted and videos burned, my bank statements needs to be filed up or torched?, etc...
So there you go... another rant of life, and what we are supposed to do.
Anyway, back to the books.

Another Day in Office
Oh well... time flies. I am sure if I don't write, i would not reflect.
Perhaps that's why people write - to slow down, to reflect, to gaze upon their endeavor before their next conquest. I write not because i want to, but more towards helping myself to remember the little details in life.
So much to do, so much to accomplish... time to slow down.
Read in the papers that another 3 year old kid rundown by his cousin who was reversing his car.
Then, my neighbour house got burglarized for the umpteenth time.
Ex-President of S.Korea commits suicide.
Endless politicking in Malaysia.
Maid horror stories... seems like a lot of bad news everyday that we become acclimatized.
So its probably good to go back to the Bible ;-) for a reality check.

Cabinet Ministers in M'sia
Just For Laughs... (someone wrote this)
Abdullah was so disappointed with his cabinet for being inefficient and corrupt that he decided to call on PM Lee Hsien Loong and ask him how he managed to have such an efficient and incorruptible cabinet.
On hearing Abdullah's woes, PM Lee said, 'Simple, Abdullah, I choose able men for my cabinet. 'Abdullah asked, 'Yes, but how do you know that they are able?' PM Lee replied, Just ask them simple questions to test their intelligence. They don't need to be too difficult. Let me illustrate to you.'
Just then, Tony Tan was walking by, PM Lee called out to him, 'Hey Tony, come over here.' Tony obediently walked briskly over. PM Lee asked, 'Tell me, Tony, who is your father's son?'
Tony Tan immediately replied, 'Me! Of course.' PM Lee turned to Abdullah and said, 'See, all my ministers can answer this question. Why don't you go back and try.'
Abdullah thank PM Lee and left.
Once he was back, he immediately summoned Najib, his deputy, and shot the question at him, 'Tell me, Jibby, who is your father's son?' Najib was shocked beyond words and did not know the answer
After a while, he recovered and said, 'Boss, let me find out and I'll tell you tomorrow.' Abdullah, a bit disappointed, agreed, hoping that Najib will give a good answer tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Najib was panicking that his boss was testing him. He tried desperately to find out the answer from his staff, but none of them knew the answer. The next morning, he decided to call George Bush for help.
Surely the most powerful person in the world must know the answer. When George picked up the phone, Najib said, 'Hello, George, can I ask you a question?' Bush, very busy, replied, 'Alright, but it better be good!' Najib quickly asked, Tell me, who is your father's son?'
Bush was fuming, 'Of course its me, you stupid!' and he slammed the phone down
Satisfied that he got the answer, he confidently walked into Abdullah's office and said, 'Boss, I've got the answer to your question.'
Abdullah, happy that his deputy wasn't that dumb, said, 'So tell me quick, who is your father's son, Jibby?' Najib confidently replied, 'It'’s George Bush!'
Abdullah slapped his own forehead in disgust and said, ‘Alamak! No, No, No, bodoh! It's TONY TAN!'

2 Down 2 More

Yipee ... managed to get 889/1000. My previous score was 888/1000.
Hopefully can finish all my papers before the end of June.
How good if life its just eat and play - no bills to worry, no problems to be concerned about.
No exams and no studies - pure fun!
Sometimes the innocence of kids really makes me think back my days as a kid.
Although i cried often ;-) but it was memorable.

The Blessing
Truth to be told, the blessings from above are always there for us - its just that we always expecting a different kind of blessing.
I really enjoyed myself - not that the other conferences aren't great. This time, there's no agenda - its only time move forward like Jacob.
A case in point, the futsal match was a great workout. Althought the scoreline wasn't great, i felt indeed it was a blessing to
1] play with Vietnamese disciples
2] able to still kick the ball
3] enjoy dinner and supper in between
Nevertheless, i got bruised (still aching all over) before i got blessed!
Now where is that rock that i need to put my head under.

Team X vs Team Y
Oh yeah... another round of competition.
On Sunday, its was Ferrari vs McLaren but Brawn stole the show again at Sepang.
Then Tuesday, it was BS, BG & BA by-election fever, but remain status quo. 2 against 1, in favour of PR. BN is going to Be The End in the next GE.
Now Thursday, it is Liverpool vs Chelse (again!!) for a spot in the semi-final of UCL.
Sometimes life is not about winning or losing, but making sense of all these victories and defeats.
But as someone said, 'History is written not by the vanquished but the victors'.
Can the Reds do it... all the way??

The Tree of Life
Singles that came over for sumptuous dinner: Jack, Janet and May YeeToday in history - when my spiritual journey started.
That was way back 15 years ago. I feel old, but thankfully not withering.
All i can say that its been a long long trip.
As the author of 'The Road less Traveled', Dr. M.Scott Peck mentioned that life is about being fulfilled. Part of it is about discipline, delay gratification and responsibility.
The other book he wrote... People of the Lie, is fascinating to digest a second serving.
Makes me think how difficult is it for us to see evil when its standing right in front of us! Is it us that he's referring to ?? You would have to read it yourself ;-)

Crunch time - Zac blowing the candles with some help from Caitlyn.
The rest of the fan club... giving support.
Yup it is 2 years old and 65 years old... and those CupCakes sure look lovely.
